Daniel Lewis Production Choreographer Events, 2013 President, 2014 | Also known as Laniel Dewis, our next choreographer Daniel Lewis has impacted Flare greatly with his unique style of dance and quality pieces. Although he sometimes looks intimidating, he is a very down to earth person that is a joy to be around. Hello! I started dancing when a salsa teacher visited my school in grade 6. From there, I spent a few years on the ballroom and latin side of things, before watching season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance, where I was left awe-struck by the hiphop / urban dancers. From there, I started spending large portions of my day watching youtube tutorials and standing in front of mirrors in assorted strange poses. Eventually I made my way to some urban / hip hop classes, and in 2012 joined Flare. Since joining, I’ve had a blast learning / attempting all styles on offer, and have choreographed a number of gig and production performances. I’ll be finishing my MSc this year (yay!) and will then be heading out on a year long dance journey (yay)! See you all around ^^ Remember to grab tickets and watch Daniel's last production piece before he jets off to travel and dance in America! You can also catch him on his youtube channel here ;) |
