Please note that if you're just looking for a quick jam, casual classes will be continuously running throughout the year. You can also treat video project and gig classes as casual classes if you don't wish to participate in filming or performance. Flare's Welcome Picnic is filled with free food, games, and new friends! Cocktail night: April 20th, Saturday.
SAVE THE DATE!! Flare's annual Cocktail Night is a special themed event (theme TBA) with a night of partying with performances you can partake in and you won't want to miss out! This year, our Cocktail Night will have 15 different dance pieces and you are all welcome to join! These gig classes are starting this Tuesday, 11/3, and casting is starting next on 19/3. If you are interested to attend these classes, make sure to check out our timetable. Last year's Cocktail Night UMSU INTL Night Market: May 2nd, Thursday. You may check out their event page for more information and updates! Only a few pieces from Cocktail Night pieces will be chosen to be in Night Market, and this will only announce after week 3, so your choreographers will keep you updated if you get casted. FFAMM, is the acronym of: Flare Dance Ensemble, University of Melbourne Funkadelic Dance Club, RMIT Academy of Street Dance, Swinburne University of Technology MMJ Dance Club, Monash University Monash Dance Sport, Monash University In collaboration with other Melbourne Universities' dance clubs, we are holding a 3-day-long special themed event jam-packed with dance workshops and an after party! You’ll get to meet dancers from other Melbourne universities, and have a blast during the Easter break. FFAMM FEST Basic Structure:
Mid Year ShowcaseThis is a performance opportunity catered for our less experienced dancers to develop in a supportive and focused environment. It will be guided by multiple choreographers and teachers over the winter break and it will culminate in a showcase performance on the 4th of August. The Mid Year Showcase is Disney themed, and each item will in some way contain the interpretation of a Disney movie.

Our end of year production is our largest performance of the year. This performance is an excellent learning experience for beginner and experienced dancers alike. You will have ongoing support from choreographers in preparation for 3 nights of performance at the end of the year.
Production classes and castings will take place in weeks 8 and 9, semester 1. The production performance will be held sometime in October. More details about the production will be released throughout the year. Last year's Production
