Christine Walsh Production Choreographer | Hope you've all booked yourself a nice seat for production this year! Ticket sales have been insane thus far so you better get in quick before you're forced to sit on the aisles. Since I'm riding off the wave of ticket sale posts, I figured it was time to introduce another production choreographer. Next up, we have Christine. She surprised us this year when she expressed interest in being a production choreographer (first year Flarian choreographing for production, what?!) but with her extensive dance experience and passion, she quickly proved herself as a dancer and choreographer. Christine has taken dance lessons since she was 4 years old. In 1999 she took her first dance lesson and her passion for dance has only grown since. Participating in CSTD exams and later dance competitions through her dance school. She completed her VCE dance in 2011, which involved her first opportunity to work on choreographing solo performances. This is her first year in Flare. She has enjoyed the experience of meeting others who are equally passionate in dance. Christine’s aim for her production piece was to expand herself as a dancer. Choreographing for a group has been a challenge for her this year. However the amazingly talented, and more importantly extremely patient dancers has made the processes so much easier. She has enjoyed being able to share her knowledge or dance and technique. |
