Jenn and Kim Production Choreographers | Today is mid-review. For those of you who have are not familiar with Flare's goings on, it's the day all of the production cast gather together to run the entire production. We will face heavy criticism by Flare's all powerful artistic director who will destroy us if our feet aren't pointed, our costumes incomplete, and our faces lacking in expression. Before we face our untimely demise, I figured I should try squeeze out at least one more choreographer introduction for old times sake. Today, we have a pair of dancers that have often been mistaken to be the same person because we suspect that they may be (despite photographic evidence). Everyone, meet Jenn and Kim. Jenn and Kim met in 2012 when Kim, still a little Flare noob, became apart of Jenn’s modern and commercial jazz pieces for Flare’s annual production. Since then, Kim has been in every production piece choreographed by Jenn and has always seen Jenn as her senpai. In 2013, they collaborated to choreograph a commercial jazz piece for a Flare video project, with Jenn being the mentor and Kim as her understudy. Jenn & Kim have also been in many production pieces together in other genres such as urban/hip hop and latin. When they’re not devoting their time to Flare, they’re constantly bumping into each other at music festivals and Kayla Itsines’ boot camps. Having similar interests and dance styles, this year they have decided to team up to choreograph a piece together that’s sure to hit home! |
